Tigers Be Still, the new comedy by Kim Rosenstock now playing at the Roundabout Underground, has been extended by one week. The show will now run at Roundabout’s black box space through November 28.
Tigers Be Still is a funny four-hander about Sherry Wickman, a young woman who earns a master’s degree in art therapy only to end up unemployed and living at home with a depressed sister who drinks on the couch all day and a mother who won’t come downstairs. Sherry is sinking with them until a ray of hope shines through: a job. Sherry gets hired to teach art, and gets her very first therapy patient. Sam Gold (Circle Mirror Transformation) directs Halley Feiffer, Natasha Lyonne, John Magaro and Reed Birney in this touching new play.
The production is the fourth of the Roundabout Underground, an initiative launched in 2007 to introduce and cultivate emerging artists by allowing experienced directors to return to their creative roots, as well as by giving a debut production to an emerging writer or director.
